This week was crazy for me. It was a week where I needed my time management skills. I was busy all last weekend and then went home in the middle of this week for a concert (which was super fun). So I only had 4 full days to get all my work done. It was a bit of a struggle, and I wasn’t able to complete everything I wanted to, but I got as much done as I could which is alright with me.
Besides the craziness of the week, I enjoyed the assignments and daily creates. I am a singer so I am comfortable enough with using audio software so it was fun to be able to bring in stuff I already knew how to do into this weeks assignments.
The first thing I did this week was reflect on audio. I found the videos and the podcast super interesting. I love podcasts so I really enjoyed listening to them. I wrote up a whole post on these videos and podcasts and if you wanna read it, click this link: http://samantharprice.com/ds106/blog/audio-reflection/ !
I had two favorite assignments this week. The first one was the mixtape. I have always loved putting together playlists for my friends. I even remember when I was younger that I used to burn disks to give to my friends at school with my favorite music (usually which included a lot of John Mayer and Taylor Swift). Eighties music is one of my favorite types of music so I really enjoyed being able to go through and pick out my favorites to put on the playlist.
Here’s my playlist! I recommend listening if you ever need a pick-me-up!

My other favorite assignment for this week was creating the radio bumper. I didn’t think I was going to like it cause I don’t really like hearing my speaking voice on tape but the recording actually turned out really cool.
Here it is if you wanna take a listen!

I enjoyed the daily creates this week, especially the one for Friday because it was so cute! And I had a lot of fun doing it. We were instructed to follow a tutorial video on YouTube and create a heart hugging a heart. Here is mine!
I gave it to my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day and he really liked it!
Another daily create I enjoyed was where we had to describe our best present. I chose a picture of me and my sister at a Billie Eilish concert. I chose that because it was a super fun day. My sister and I love going to concerts together and it’s something we do a lot. Even this past week we went to a Rex Orange County concert.

I also brainstormed radio show ideas this week. I had a lot of fun with this because I have a few interesting ideas. The all have to do with the popular culture during the time, such as music, fashion, and movies. I really like the idea of using music since, like I said above, I love 80s music. I also was able to look at some other classmates radio show ideas and they were similar to mine so I am excited to see what topic I end up being apart with! I was only able to comment on a few posts this week. If you want to check them click here or here. I feel like I am commenting on the same peoples pages every week but can’t seem to be able to find other websites to comment on! This is something I am going to figure out this weekend to make sure I am able to comment more next week.
This was the most stressful week I’ve had so far this semester and I’m glad its over. I am a little disappointed I didn’t get everything I wanted done for the week but there is nothing I can do about it now and I am proud of what I did get complete.
Here’s to hoping next week is stress-free!
